Your mission, should you accept it, is to find a building in the Washington, DC area that shares the architectural vocabulary of the Renaissance and devote a page of your journal to making an architectural sketch. You may make a field sketch on the spot or take a photo and use that for your sketch later. Your journal page should include the following:
- Name and Location of the Building – or just it’s location if it has no name.
- Labels for the Renaissance features (recall our discussion of the central elements of Classical/Renaissance architecture / CLICK HERE for more help).
- A selfie that shows you at the location.
NOTE: the sketch MUST be in your own journal, but it can be pasted if you didn’t sketch directly. The selfie you can send me or print and include in your journal as well.
