Cartoon Convo #2: Nineteenth Century Ideologies

As you know, political ideology of myriad hues exploded across the canvas of Europe following the French Revolution. From ‘far-right’ authoritarian monarchists to bomb-chucking anarchists, politically-minded people appeared, wrote, protested, and killed in the name of ideology.

For the Cartoon-Convo, please chose TWO political persuasions of 19th-century Europe and imagine them in a dialogue concerning any particular BUT MUNDANE subject. Your must include:

  • at least 3 panels
  • at least 2 historical individuals voicing their ideas (they should be identified)
  • a reference to 2 documents that represent the ideas of your characters (you will need to read them and know what the gist of their arguments are)
  • a conversation between the two on an every-day subject [such as picking the kids up from school]. The conversation should contain paraphrased concepts from the documents. Essentially you are representing the thought of two different political ideologies.
